Two years ago, on my first trek to Kothlighad sitting with faces I have seen for the first time…reached Karjat when 2 young guys joined us in the bus and all enthu. Telling their stories on what they did at Rajmachi and their experiences. Sitting at back of the bus listening to their stories..I did know how to react whether to be surprised or be awed or just let them talk…while me minding my own business (ie to keep silent). And I did the later.

In the searing heat while everyone was walking slowly stopping at every available spot, these 2 guys just ran ahead and reached the village. I was all huffing and puffing…thinking on how much energy they have and I am a slow poke….few months later another trek to Visapur…I meet him again but this time he is with a big ruck sack…carrying around 10 kilos on his back while I am with around 2 litres only…this is Gautam for you, with whom I have started a company called Ulysses 360 Degrees which deals with Trekking and adventure sports.
Two weeks back our first company event, Rappelling in Borivali National Park in which we expected around 25 people but only 15 turned up…as the people enjoyed the whole experience we thought why not continue with a bigger number of people and then we end up at Rajmachi, Kondane Caves…for a corporate event.
As for me…experience in meeting with people and knowing them was fun….

Love!!
This is not about me...but a girl who i bumped into through a forum....and she is in love with a guy named James. She has a plan and i must say it is one of the best i have heard in a very long time.

I have a friend who was about to get married and his birthday was coming up...his to be wife messaged his friends and told us to record a audio and wish him birthday and say things about him.
All of us got together at a friends place and started singing birthday song and sent a mail across.
I must say this is love when you make someone smile through the things which you have gone.

Friends
In the year 1977 my Mum started her FYBSc in chemistry where she had met some people and a small group of 10 people including guys and girls were created by the year 1978.
Zoom into future year 2008, that 10 people group is a now a massive gang of 40 people including spouse and kids. And they meet each other once in 2 months with all family members for a outdoor trip or a meeting at someone's place. If i think of such thing happening at today's time i find it very difficult to forsee it...
I have seen them fighting...bitching...but they kinda patch up without anyone saying sorry or forgiving.....in the end friends are friends....they are our second family.
Why am i writing this...friday aunt called us and said to come to their place as she has organised a get-together...and i am the one who never lets the chance pass by for meeting them. The reason for the get-together was that her daughter is gonna get engaged and we all are into inviting the guy into our group...first one....
It was 9 pm when the guy reached the place with the girl and group of kids were the cheerleaders into inviting him. So we had to hold a placard of his name and WELCOME into our group. He was dazed, bamboozled and other terms related to both. After that there was a small reception where the uncles, aunties and kids introducing themselves to the guy.....
Later the guy introduced himself to the whole lot of 40 people on what he does and how they met...it was an interview session. Later the uncles and aunts met him for some one on one or normal chit chat....
When i say my friends that i am going to meet my mom's gang and they say no way.....that is not possible...how are they connected to each other...what i have seen is that they don't interfere in each other's life. No grudges....plain fun....tease....pull legs....and there is one kind of atmosphere which is happy happy (thats the best way I can describe it) everyone laughing and also small arguments which keep on going from meet to meet....
Hoping this friendship never ends!!!! (touch wood)
